Drummer Jano Rix is the rhythmic force behind the Gabe Dixon Band. Rix is in league with the best drummers in the world and is easily compared to The Police's Stewart Copeland and Carter Beauford of Dave Matthews fame. Rix's drumming is everything you've ever loved about percussive instruments, in every genre—from marching band to jazz. If there were such a thing as a triple-threat drummer, this guy is it—the taste of an elder jazzman, chops to match, and pitch-perfect backing vocals. Go see the Gabe Dixon Band ASAP and catch Jano Rix put on a clinic while you are still able to see this guy play small clubs. The Gabe Dixon Band will no doubt be filling stadiums soon, and watching Rix in an intimate setting will be next to impossible. Oh, Gabe Dixon ain't too bad either. Ask Paul McCartney, who invited Dixon to play keys on McCartney's Driving Rain album and subsequent world tour.
